Whole Foods Market® & 5 local retailers to donate 5 percent of April 15 sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend

Grocery, Press Releases

Alumni Hall, Super Cuts, Peterbrooke, Southern Compass Outfitters and Capital City Runners partner for 5 Percent Day

April 15 may be tax day for many, but it will also be a day for community giving as six local retailers will donate 5 percent of the day’s net sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend.

Whole Foods Market Tallahassee, which hosts a quarterly 5 Percent Day to benefit local educational or nonprofit organizations, is partnering with retailers in the Miracle Plaza shopping center for Tuesday’s event. Alumni Hall, Super Cuts, Peterbrooke, Southern Compass Outfitters and Capital City Runners will join Whole Foods in donating 5 percent of the day’s net sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend. Customers shopping at ANY of these six local retailers on April 15 will play a vital role in giving back to the Tallahassee community.

This is the first time Whole Foods Market Tallahassee has partnered with other local retailers for its 5 Percent Day, an initiative that is part of the company’s Core Values and commitment to serving and supporting local and global communities.
